Train for Performance. Train for Life.
A former Division I football player and competitive track athlete, Darin Jerome is an experienced sports performance and fitness coach with more than 18 years of experience helping athletes and adults become stronger, faster, healthier, and more confident in how they move.
Throughout his career, Darin has worked with everyone from youth and recreational athletes to more than 100 Division I athletes, professional athletes from the NFL, MLB, NHL, and MLS, and Olympic-level competitors. He has also worked with individual track athletes and collegiate track programs, helping athletes improve speed, running mechanics, power, and overall performance.
A graduate of Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, Darin is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
through the NSCA, a Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist (FRCms), and a USATF certified coach. His background as a track athlete, combined with his USATF education and coaching experience, has also led to a strong focus on running performance, sprint mechanics, acceleration, speed development, running efficiency, and conditioning
for athletes and recreational runners alike.
Darin has also served as a Strength & Conditioning Coach at Lynn University, working with collegiate athletes across multiple sports.
His coaching expertise includes strength and conditioning, speed and agility development, running performance, sprint mechanics, plyometrics, power, change of direction, mobility, body composition, and overall athletic development. His approach is built around purposeful training rather than random workouts or one-size-fits-all programming. Every program is designed around the individual, their goals, how they move, and what they need to improve.
That same high-level coaching approach extends beyond competitive athletes. Darin works with adults looking to build strength, improve mobility, lose body fat, increase fitness, stay athletic, improve their running, or simply feel and perform better in everyday life.
Training is available in person and online, giving clients the flexibility to receive structured programming, coaching, accountability, and guidance whether they're training at FTX Performance or remotely.
Whether you're a young athlete building your foundation, a high school or college athlete chasing the next level, a runner looking to improve performance, an adult looking to become stronger and healthier, or someone who needs the flexibility of online coaching, Darin's goal remains the same:
Meet you where you are and build a stronger, faster, healthier, and more capable version of you.
